Skilled, personalised support for your feeding journey

You’re not alone in this. I’m here to help you find your feet with evidence based, practical support.

Hello

I’m Jo, an ABM breastfeeding counsellor and Gold Certified Lactation Support provider.

I have worked with families for over 20 years, including a decade in the NHS within the health  visiting and infant feeding teams.

I offer the individualised, evidence based, friendly support you need as you navigate the early days of parenting and beyond.

With a background in child development and working alongside a network of skilled professionals, I am well placed to support you in every aspect of your new parenting journey.

In addition to running my own CIC, offering antenatal courses and new parent support, I work for and am trustee for a local breastfeeding charity. I also work  for IBCLC and tongue-tie practitioner Sarah Oakley, supporting in her clinic and providing follow up support.

Having completed 'Babies in Common' flange fit training, I can also help you optimise your expressing using the most up to date information and research.

I’m here to listen and help you find the feeding journey that works best for you and your baby.

Antenatal breastfeeding preparation- £100

My antenatal feeding sessions are designed primarily for one-to-one support with families, creating a relaxed space to explore feeding plans and ask questions before your baby arrives. These sessions go beyond traditional antenatal classes, offering more in-depth, evidence-based information, alongside practical tips and preparation to help you feel prepared for the early days of feeding your baby.

Each session is tailored to your individual needs and circumstances, while also drawing on my many years of experience supporting families with infant feeding. Together we will cover realistic preparation, common challenges, and strategies that can help give feeding the best possible start.

Sessions can also be adapted for small groups if you would prefer to attend with friends or other expectant parents.

For an additional £50, you can also secure an initial postnatal home visit with me once your baby has arrived, arranged at a mutually convenient time, providing early support as you begin your feeding journey.

Introducing solids- £80

My introducing solids sessions are designed to support families at any stage of their baby’s journey with food. Whether you are thinking about starting solids and want to feel prepared, or you have already begun and would like additional guidance or reassurance, sessions can be tailored to your baby’s stage of development and your family’s needs and includes 2 weeks WhatsApp support following the session.

Together we explore evidence-based information, practical approaches, and responsive feeding, helping you feel confident about introducing foods, recognising readiness cues, and building positive early experiences with eating.

I bring many years of experience supporting families with this transition. During my time working within an infant feeding team, I led introducing solids sessions for parents and also supported the training of staff across the county, drawing on both research and practical experience. This background helps me offer balanced, realistic guidance that works in everyday family life.

Sessions are usually offered one-to-one, but can also be adapted for small groups if you would like to attend with friends or other families get in touch to discuss individualised packages.

Support tailored to your individual circumstances can also be arranged. Please get in touch to discuss what you and your family need.
